United Nations Commission On International Trade Law
The Kingdom, represented by the National Competitiveness Center, and the United Nations, represented by the Office of Legal Affairs, signed a memorandum of understanding regarding financial contributions to the UNCITRAL Trust Fund.
Objectives of the memorandum:
- Raising awareness and enhancing understanding of both UNICTRAL texts and international trade law standards.
- Supporting the legislative drafting process through the acceptance and use of UNCITRAL texts and other relevant standards.
- Promoting a consistent interpretation of UNCITRAL texts and international trade law standards
- Capacity building and developing programs related to areas of cooperation between the two parties, utilizing methods deemed appropriate by both parties.

The Center has signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of California, Berkeley. This partnership is part of the Center's strategy to enhance the competitive environment in the Kingdom.

- Developing a digital economy program to boost the Kingdom’s competitiveness by strengthening workforce capabilities and facilitating innovation.

- Streamlining and developing trade in services in the Kingdom.

United Nations Conference on Trade and Development
The National Competitiveness Center and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development have signed a cooperation agreement to streamline trade and logistics, e-commerce, and consumer protection.
Objectives of the agreement:
- Streamlining trade and logistics, e-commerce, and consumer protection.
- Conducting a comprehensive analysis of consumer protection policies and legislative and regulatory frameworks in the Kingdom.
- Capacity building to measure the spread and impact of e-commerce to contribute to enhancing digital economy policies.
